New Consultant: Karla von Bengtson

Please welcome our new film consultant - director and screenwriter Karla von Bengtson!

Karla brings a wealth of experience and passion for animation to our team. With a career spanning over two decades, she has worked on a variety of projects, from character design and animation to directing and scriptwriting. Karla’s journey in the animation industry began early at the age of 18 where she started as an animator and character designer, and she has since worked her way up through the industry, exploring the different roles of the animation process. She made significant contributions to numerous productions, as well as serving as a jury member on the animation boards of acclaimed festivals like Frederikstad, VAF and OFF.

A graduate of The National Film School of Denmark, Karla has a deep understanding of both storytelling and production. Her impressive portfolio includes animated films, shorts, series, and commercials. She is known for her ability to develop compelling characters and universes, and her dedication to staying current with industry trends.

"I'm incredibly excited to be a part of Filmværksted Viborg and am looking forward to reading, experiencing, and supporting the hopefully very diverse projects that will be submitted. It’s awesome that a place like FVV exists, where animation is taken very seriously and where animation talent can develop and thrive."
